Job description
We are looking for several ship's engineers for our global operations on our vessels.
The main responsibilities of a ship's engineer include:
- Operation, maintenance and repairs of the range of plant and systems on board
- All with due regard for safety and complying with regulations and instructions
Skills, knowledge and experience
For this position, we are looking for candidates who:
- Want to work globally and are prepared to be away from home for periods of up to 6 weeks
- Have graduated at at least intermediate vocational education level (MBO) or have a comparable qualification
- Have a valid STCW 95 license as an engineer/chief engineer, all ships
- Are flexible and stress-resilient with a practical approach to work
- Are genuine team-players but can also do their work well without supervision
- Have a mastery of Dutch and English
Our preference is for engineers with extensive experience on sea-going vessels, preferably in the dredging industry. However, there are also some openings for less experienced candidates.
Company information
Boskalis has its own modern, large versatile fleet of approximately 300 units. The ships operate worldwide. Planning for the ships and crews takes place at the head office in Papendrecht. The fleet complies with the strict international ISM Code.
