Senior engineer/ projectmanager

Job description

The Hydronamic senior engineer is primarily responsible for resolving engineering issues and directing design work for Boskalis projects. This also involves conducting feasibility studies, or instructing others to do so, in the context of project development, the design of solutions/alternative solutions during the production of a tender, and project support during execution. The senior engineer is able to provide leadership during the design process of a project. In addition, he/she acts as a coach and mentor to less experienced colleagues.

Skills, knowledge and experience

• Academic operational and intellectual ability (such as Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Physical Geography or a comparable background)
• At least 6 to 10 years of relevant practical experience
• Extensive experience with the management of consultancy projects, for example with an engineering firm
• Ability to operate convincingly, both alone and in a team
• Excellent communications skills
• Sound language skills in both written and spoken English
• Willingness to work abroad for periods of time

It specializes in the design side of hydraulic engineering for water-based infrastructure, geotechnical engineering, coastal & riverbank infrastructure, and the environmental aspects of dredging work.
