What types of jobs do you have?

Boskalis has many different jobs. There are technical, financial and commercial jobs at the junior, medium, senior and executive levels. There are jobs on land and on water, in the Netherlands and abroad. In short, there is a wide range of opportunities. Go to vacancies for a list of positions that are currently open.

What you want to see in an application letter and a CV?

Your application should make it clear why you want to work for Boskalis. Keep it short and sweet! Your CV should give a clear impression of your education, courses you have followed and work experience, as well as any other accomplishments during your studies.

We receive many job applications every day. For practical reasons, we would therefore ask you to re-submit all of your personal details, especially if there have been changes in your CV.

Can I also apply if there are no vacancies/appropriate vacancies?

Yes, unsolicited applications are welcome. Depending on your training, experience and ambitions, our recruiters will take a look at the possibilities within the company and discuss them with you.

How many starters do you hire each year?

Every year we hire around 30 new employees (at graduate level), mainly for the Trainee Program but also for technically specialized jobs in R&D or the Dredging Department, for example.

Holidays
The annual number of holiday days in the Netherlands is 25. Employees are also entitled to six days of leave under statutory provisions for a shorter working week.
Working outside the Netherlands
Boskalis provides good conditions for employees it sends to countries outside the Netherlands. The details of the arrangements and the type of allowance depend on the amount of time spent abroad, the country you go to and your personal circumstances. Different criteria apply to single persons than for employees with a partner and/or children.
Boskalis company fitness
Boskalis recognizes the importance of working out for a healthy mind and a healthy body. It relaxes you and makes you feel fitter. Boskalis has therefore made arrangements so that its employees can train at a reduced rate with a national chain of sport and fitness centers.
Employee benefits
Boskalis has an appealing (and almost premium-free) pension plan and collective health insurance.
Training
You can follow courses and training both at your own request and at the request of the company. If the course you choose is relevant for your job or your career development, the company reimburses the full costs. Training plans are drawn up in consultation with your manager and the P&O department.
